Our Family Legacy

While sipping our wines and taking in the splendor of nature bursting from the vines our hope is that our ancestral heritage rings through in each vintage. We invited you to let your spirit fall in love with this bite of heaven just as we have.

Family is what it’s all about for Rosario Bruno. It’s what keeps him motivated and moving forward. His family is the cornerstone of what he is building. It begins with Sandra, his wife and major supporter. Their marriage started 55 years ago with a commitment to each other’s goals and dreams. She has been there through thick and thin in all his endeavors. Always in the background helping, counseling and encouraging her husband. Her fingerprint can be  found everywhere, in the name, the logo, the tasting room just to name a few. Early on she advised Rosario “whatever you do make it fun.” This is so evident in the vineyard name and  logo.

Sandra and Rosario have two married daughters with families of their own. Both girls are deeply involved and committed to what has become the Family Dream. They each have other careers but, the vineyard is where their true calling is.

Veronica, their first born is an Interior Designer and it’s her talents that shine through in the tasting room decor and special touches found everywhere that contribute to the Old World Charm of the vineyard. She is the one to coordinate the decorations for weddings and special occasions. She also works her magic in the kitchen providing the food fare served at special events. She created “Veronica’s Vino Drizzle.”  It is sold in the tasting room gift shop and is a huge favorite that’s hard to keep in stock. She is also the one who finds all the wine themed merchandise for the gift shop.

Veronica’s husband, Jim, has been Rosario’s right hand man from the beginning. He’s the behind the scene guy who keeps things working around the vineyard. He has run the harvest and processing of the grapes. Over the years working alongside his father-in-law he has learned the art of winemaking.

Veronica and Jim have two children, Chandler and ReAnna, both college students. They have grown up spending weekends playing and working at the vineyard. At age two they were out in the vines at harvest picking the grapes and usually eating more than they picked.     Chandler has become his father’s right hand man now. He has his hands in all aspects of the vineyard from pruning and caring for the vines and getting the grapes from the vines to the bottles. ReAnna is interested in the chemistry of winemaking and has helped in all facets of it. She enjoys working the tasting room and has an extensive knowledge of the wines and shares it with the visitors helping them choose the right wine to suit their palette.

Vicki, born 4 years after her sister has a full time corporate job. She runs the tasting room and the staff and she’s the one who finds all the wonderfully talented entertainers that preform on weekends and special events and concerts. She is also the marketing and social media director. She is the customer relations person whose goal is to make sure everyone who visits the vineyard leaves having had a great wine experience. With a warm welcoming smile she makes everyone feel like part of the family. If you call the vineyard chances are she will be the one to answer your call.

Vicki’s husband, Ben, is the man of many hats around the vineyard. Always there to lend a hand and a vital part of harvest, winemaking and bottling of the wine. He’s the setup guy for all the special events. He bakes and delivers the pizzas to the waiting tables on the weekends. And occasionally he’ll jump in one if the ATVs and take a few guest on a special tour of the property.

Vicki and Ben have two children (twins) Adelena an Brock, they are the newest additions to the family, at this writing they are 8 years old. They pitch in whenever they can and are quite good at picking the grape and yes, eating them too. They also are host and hostess to the younger vineyard guests not yet interested in wine. They can be seen playing and running through the vineyard most weekends, and offering their delicious lemonade.

It all culminates at bottling time when every member of the family, young, old and in between, are on the line filling, corking and labeling the bottles with the fruit of their labors ready to share it with all who visit. This truly is a family affair. They all gather at the vineyard on the weekends leaving their other life behind for a couple of days. Everyone one has a role to play in Rosario’s dream. They all contribute and work hard to make this dream a reality. Rosario and Sandra feel they have truly been blessed. They have met so many wonderful people at the vineyard and many have become great friends. They have a loving family that works and plays together, all sharing the same goals and putting all their efforts into achieving them. It’s a labor of love that keeps growing.

Fergedaboudit is a part of Rosario’s legacy……..HIS FAMILY is HIS LEGACY!
